Sailfaster is for racing sailors who want to learn from the best.

I didn’t grow up sailing. In fact, I didn’t start racing until I was in my late forties when I part-owned a J/80 in San Francisco. We didn’t know what we were doing.  I started to get serious about it when we moved to Washington DC a couple of years ago, where I campaign my J/105 ‘London Calling’ in one of the largest and most competitive one-design fleets, the Annapolis J105 Fleet.

Seeing top sailors consistently outpace the fleet made me ask: What are they doing differently? Is it skill, preparation, or something else? Sailfaster was born from that curiosity—a podcast where racing sailors share insights on strategy, preparation, teamwork, and what it really takes to win.
